The Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus, on January 4th, 2023, issued Circular No. 1/2023 about the medical examination of seafarers and the issuance of certificates.
The Circular clarifies that medical examinations of seafarers and issuance of medical certificates to seafarers should be carried out by doctors in the private sector whose names appear on the list of authorized doctors or doctors working in general hospitals in the cities of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Ammochostos, and Paphos.
This Circular is addressed to all registered owners, registered bareboat charterers, managers and representatives of ships flying the Cyprus flag, as well as all owners, managers, representatives and ship agents of ships, irrespective of flag they are flying, calling at Cyprus Ports, and Cyprus Medical Association.
