Isle of Man issues notice for IoM regulations implementing the STCW Convention

  1. Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations Training: Mandatory advanced training certification is required for personnel involved in various aspects of liquefied gas tanker operations, including loading, discharging, and handling of cargo.
  2. Passenger Ships Training: Additional training is mandatory for personnel serving on passenger ships, covering safety, crowd management, crisis management, and passenger safety.
  3. Ships Operating in Polar Waters: Specific basic and advanced training certifications are required for personnel on ships operating in polar waters, in accordance with the Polar Code.
  4. Ships Subject to the IGF Code: Training requirements are specified for personnel serving on ships subject to the IGF Code, including familiarization, basic, and advanced training, with periodic refresher training necessary.
