LR: Two IACS Unified Requirements come into force on July 1st, 2023
Amendments have been made to Lloyd’s Register’s Rules to include the requirements of two newly published Unified Requirements from the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) regarding marine forgings and castings.
The following IACS Unified Requirements come into force on July 1st, 2023:
1. UR W7 Rev.4 – Hull and machinery steel forgings.
2. UR W8 Rev.3 – Hull and machinery steel castings.
