Malaysia issues notice regarding the designated authority instruction for marine facilities

Marine Department Malaysia has issued a shipping notice regarding the implementation of the Designated Authority Instruction Revision 1/2023.

This notice was published on January 3rd, 2023, and is effective from January 2nd, 2023.

It is addressed to shipowners, ship managers, ship agents, masters, seafarers, port operators, recognized organizations, and the maritime industry.

The purpose is to notify the shipping and port community about the implementation of the Designated Authority (DA) Instruction Revision 1/2023.

The DA Instruction applies to marine facilities in Malaysia, Malaysian waters, the Exclusive Economic Zone, and Malaysian Continental Shelf.
