Multiple IRclass documents to enter into force

Classification Society IRclass has issued several consolidated versions of their Rules, Guidelines and Classification Notes, which include the amendments published over the past year.

The consolidated Rules issued this June include the following: Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of High Speed Crafts and Light Crafts, Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Inland Waterways Vessels, Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Pleasure Crafts and Large Yachts, Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Fixed Offshore Steel Structures and Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Floating Offshore Units.

Classification Notes issued this June include Approval of I.C. Engines, Approval of Service Suppliers and Stability Requirements for Inland Waterways Passenger Ships.

Classification Notes issued during December 2021 include: Type Approval of Electrical Equipment used for Control, Monitoring, Alarm and Protection Systems for Use in Ships, Type Testing Procedure for Crankcase Explosion Relief Valves and Type Approval of Mechanical Joints used in Piping.

Two Guidelines were published this June; Guidelines on Construction and Classification of Fixed Offshore Wind Turbine Installations (Provisional) and Guidelines on Qualification Scheme for Welders of Aluminium Alloys.

All publications enter into force on 01 July 2022.
