Classification Society RINA has released the Amendments to Parts A and F of the "Rules for the Classification of Fast Patrol Vessels".
These amendments were published on 19 September 2023 and are effective from 15 September 2023.
Amendments
Part A: Classification and Surveys
- Chapter 1: PRINCIPLES OF CLASSIFICATION AND CLASS NOTATIONS
- The additional class notation GREEN FPV is assigned to vessels provided with effective means to control and prevent pollution of the sea and air. The requirements for the assignment are given in Part F, Ch 3, Sec 3.
Part F: Additional Class Notations
- Chapter 2: STABILITY AND BUOYANCY
- Changes made in the SECTION 2 UNSINKABILITY (UNSINK)
- Changes made in the SECTION 3 SELF-RIGHTING CAPABILITY (SELF-RIGHT)
- Chapter 3: OTHER ADDITIONAL CLASS NOTATIONS
- Added SECTION 3: ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (GREEN FPV)
