Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) has issued two Circular Letters amending Part I and Part II of the Rules for the Equipment of Sea-Going Ships.
Part I was amended by deletion of definitions of the areas of navigation due to loss of relevance of their application in Section 1. The definition "Berth-сonnected ship" has been deleted in connection with its duplication in Part I "Classification". The changes enter into force on 01 June 2022.
Part II was amended with the addition of requirements in compliance with IMO resolution MSC.81(70) as amended by IMO resolution MSC.488(103), as well as a new Chapter 6.23 being introduced containing the requirements for rescue nets.
The changes became effective on 01 May 2022.
