TASNEEF amends Rules for the Classification of Ships

Emirates Classification Society (TASNEEF) has published amendments to Parts A and E of Rules for the Classification of Ships with Additional Service Feature Equipped for Carriage of Containers to the Service Notations Barge and Pontoon.

Service notations define the type and/or service of the ship which have been considered for its classification. At least one service notation needs to be assigned to every classed ship.

Based on this update, service notations for barge and pontoon may be completed by the additional service feature equipped for the carriage of containers when the ship's fixed arrangements comply with the applicable requirements in Part E, Chapter 2.

The amendments are effective from 01 September 2022.
