There will be several changes to the IMO Codes in 2024. Almost all of them will be put into effect on January 1st, 2024, while the other four will be effective on July 1st, 2024.
These changes will be added to the IMDG, FSS, IGF, MODU, HSC, LSA, SPS, IGC, ESP, and IBC Codes.
However, this is not the case with Resolution MSC.527(106) concerning the International Code of Safety for Ships Carrying Industrial Personnel (IP Code). This is because Resolution MSC.527(106) was adopted quite recently and does not have any changes.
Most of these documents were issued by the International Maritime Organization in 2022.
These documents refer to the resolutions of the IMO Maritime Safety Committee, although only one of the following documents was approved by the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee.
