China Classification Society (CCS) has published the Technical Guidelines for Data Exchange of Ship Digital Survey.
This document was published on 17 April 2023 and became effective on 1 May 2023.
The following guidelines establish a standardized framework for exchanging data in ship digital surveys.
They apply to ships undergoing digital surveys conducted by the CCS, while also serving as a valuable reference for other businesses involved in data exchange.
When ships apply for digital surveys, it is crucial to adhere to these guidelines when sending data to CCS or granting them access to the data.
Compliance includes following prescribed data naming formats, data structures, and standard interface protocols.
The guidelines encompass a comprehensive range of data pertinent to ship digital surveys, covering ship documents/data, hull structures, shipboard machinery/electronic equipment (systems), and other survey objects that produce data in various structural formats.
By adhering to these guidelines, data exchange in ship digital surveys can be streamlined and standardized.
