ClassNK amended its Rules for Floating Docks

The Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) amended its Rules for Floating Docks.

Section 2.5 was added, which allows for remote surveys to be conducted for class maintenance surveys, as long as they meet the requirements in Annex 1.5.3.

This applies unless international regulations or conventions from Administrations stipulate otherwise.

The effective date for the amendments was January 1, 2023, but current requirements still apply to remote surveys submitted before that date.
