Classification Society DNV has published a class guideline revising the criteria for handling excessive noise and vibration levels.
This class guideline document was published on January 1st, 2023, and supersedes document DNV-CG-0493 issued in October 2021.
This DNV document provides information on how to handle the moderate excesses to the comfort class noise and vibration criteria.
This guideline may apply to any ship intending to obtain the COMF class notation.
