EU Recognised Organisation (EU RO) has issued a new version of Technical Requirements for Flow Gauges/Transmitters.
Changes were made to Paragraph 1.b Application limitations with the addition of further explanation regarding "Ex" certification. The following text was added: "Explosion proof ‘Ex’ certification is not within the scope of this Technical Requirement and application of the product in fuel consumption monitoring systems have not been considered in this TR. This is not to be read as a limitation for the use of flow gauges/transmitters in fuel piping systems but requiring individual assessment of the suitability for the use in such systems."
The new requirements were adopted on July 1st and become effective from 01 January 2023.
