Indian Register of Shipping (IRclass) has published the Guidelines on Ammonia Fueled Vessels.
This document has been published on December 1st, 2022, and became effective on the same date.
These guidelines are intended to provide requirements for ships using ammonia as fuel in the liquid state in storage tanks.
These guidelines address all areas that need special consideration for the usage of ammonia as fuel. These guidelines consider the goal-based approach (MSC.1/Circ.1394).
