Hong Kong has recently issued a Merchant Shipping Information Note that provides list of certificates, documents and publications that are required or recommended to be carried on board Hong Kong ships engaged in international voyage.
The documentation is required by IMO Circular FAL.2/Circ.133-MEPC.1/Circ.902-MSC.1/Circ.1646-LEG.2/Circ.4 which was approved by the Facilitation Committee at its 46th session, the Marine Environment Protection Committee at its 78th session, the Maritime Safety Committee at its 105th session, and the Legal Committee at its 109th session.
All certificates must be originals, while all publications may be in hard copies or electronic format. All publications should be of the latest editions or duly corrected up to date by the company regularly.
