The International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) has published a document entitled Type Testing Procedure of Explosion Relief Devices for Combustion Air Inlet and Exhaust Gas Manifolds of I.C. Engines Using Gas as Fuel.
The purpose of this document is to specify the explosion relief device test procedure for the combustion air intake manifold and exhaust manifold of internal combustion engines using gas as fuel.
This Unified Requirements document was published on March 1st, 2023, and will enter into force on July 1st, 2024.
