The Directorate General of Shipping, India has issued a circular on the collection of data from all Indian Ships irrespective of size for the Implementation of EEXI, CII, Single Use of Plastics, and issuance of E-BDN by Bunker Suppliers.
This circular has been issued on January 20th, 2023.
This document explains how to report data through the Swachh Sagar portal (http://swachhsagar.irclass.net/) online platform.
All Indian ship owners, managers, and companies are required to fill in data related to fuel consumption on the Swachh Sagar portal on a monthly basis.
All Indian ships of 400 GT and above are required to fill in single-use plastic information on the Swachh Sagar portal every time they call any Indian port.
All registered and licensed bunker suppliers must enter information related to bunker supply, generate an electronic Bunker Delivery Confirmation, and issue it to the bunker recipient.
Licensed surveyors who visit Indian ships may verify that data for the previous month have been reported in the Swachh Sagar portal, and the visit report must indicate the status of compliance. Any non-compliance has to be reported to the Directorate.
