Indian Register of Shipping (IRclass) has revised the Guidelines on Remotely Operated Vessels and Autonomous Surface Vessels.
This document has been published on December 1st, 2022. These amendments will come into force on January 1st, 2023.
Changes were made to Section 2 (Design Philosophy), Chapter 2.5.1: "Suitable cross-reference is provided to the requirements in Annexure 1."
Annexure 1 (Software for Decision Support and Artificial Intelligence) was changed to: "Requirements for software with additional capabilities for decision support systems and artificial intelligence are specified."
