UNECE has issued a new Multilateral Agreement M348 under section 1.5.1 of ADR concerning the carriage of UN 3509 in bulk.
By derogation from 3.2.1 (Table A, Dangerous Goods List) and 7.3.3 of ADR, packagings, discarded, empty, uncleaned classified as UN 3509 may also be carried in bulk in accordance with code VC1 in sheeted vehicles, sheeted containers or sheeted bulk containers. The consignor shall enter the following in the transport document: “Carriage in accordance with Multilateral Agreement M348.”
The Agreement shall be valid until 30 June 2023 for the carriage on the territories of those ADR Contracting Parties signatory to the Agreement. If it is revoked before then by one of the signatories, it will remain valid until the above mentioned date only for carriage on the territories of ADR Contracting Parties which have not revoked it.
