European Union Recognized Organization Mutual Recognition Group (EU RO MR) has updated 15 technical requirements, all of which were adopted on the 1st of January. EU RO MR technical requirements apply to manufacturers of marine equipment or components.
Changes were made to following requirements: AC Semiconductor Controllers, Computers and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCS), Contactors with Electronic Devices, Control and Protective Switching Devices, Display Monitors, Video Screens, Terminals, Electrical/Electronic Relays, Electrical Actuator for Valves, Electronic Power Units for Valve Control, Flow Gauges/Transmitters, Insulation Monitoring Devices (IMD), Level Gauges/Transmitters, LV Soft Starters, Pressure Gauges – Transmitters, Shipping Industry Guidance on Pilot Transfer Arrangements and Touch Screen i.e. a Display Monitor or a Video Screen that is Also an Input Device.
The updated requirements are to be applied from 01 July 2022.
