The Panama Maritime Authority has issued a circular regarding the measurements to reduce PSC detentions on Panamanian vessels.
This circular was published on 1 March 2023.
The purpose of this circular is to establish measurements to reduce Port State Control (PSC) detentions and improve the performance of Panamanian flagged vessels, with the collaboration of recognized organizations, shipowners and operators, and other interested parties.
The document details measurements to be applied as preventive-corrective actions to reduce PSC detentions and additional measurements adopted to reduce PSC detentions that need to be implemented by the ROs as of April 15th, 2023.
