The Panama Canal Authority issued Advisory to Shipping No. A-06-2024 on February 29, 2024, regarding the process customers must follow after installing fixed piloting units with real-time kinematics (RTK) at the Panama Canal.
The steps to be taken include downloading a form, filling in necessary details, printing, signing, and stamping it along with an antenna installation diagram (if available)
Additionally, customers must keep a copy of the certificate for pilot use during visits and note "NPU Completed" in the visit remark.
