Classification Society RINA has amended Parts A and F of Rules for the Classification of Ships with the addition of High Voltage Shore Connection HVSC-NB class notation.
The additional class notations HVSC-NB and HVSC are assigned in accordance with Part A, Paragraph 6.14.18 to ships fitted with high voltage shore connection (HVSC) systems complying with the following requirements:
HVSC-NB for systems tested on board without any onshore facility connection test for communication and power circuits; and HVSC for systems fully tested including at least one onshore facility.
The amendments become effective on 01 May 2022.
