EU RO MR Group issued the technical requirements for plastic piping systems.
These EU RO Mutual Recognition Technical Requirements - Plastic Piping Systems (Components) (version 0.4) have been published on January 1st, 2023, and will be applicable from July 1st, 2023.
These requirements apply to all piping system components that are made of rigid plastic. The certification includes all components intended for pipeline assembly, i.e. straight pipe sections and pipe joints.
Pipelines made of thermoplastic materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and polybutylene, and intended for non-essential services, must meet the requirements of recognized standards as well as parts of these Technical Requirements.
These requirements are not applicable to non-rigid pipes, hoses and mechanical couplings found in piping systems made of metal.
