The Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) has issued the SIRE 2.0 Universal Interpretations (Version 1.0).
This document was published on January 11th, 2023, and is effective from January 1st, 2023.
OCIMF established the Ship Inspection Report (SIRE) Programme in 1993 and it has developed and grown in scope since then. In 2022 the programme was renamed SIRE 2.0 after a complete revision of the inspection process.
This included requiring vessel operators to provide additional information through a Pre-inspection Questionnaire which in combination with the HVPQ would ensure that appropriate questions are assigned to each inspection and provide a more detailed inspection report.
