Classification Society Polish Register of Shipping (PRS) has amended several Additional Rule Requirements, including Plastic Pipelines on Ships, Type Testing Procedure for Crankcase Explosion Relief Valves, Guidelines for energy efficiency of ships and Air Pipe Closing Devices. All publications were approved by PRS Executive Board on 06 June 2022 and enter into force on 01 July 2022.
Due to revision of IACS UR P4 Rev6, Sections 1 to 6 of the requirements for Plastic Pipelines on Ships were amended. Furthermore, Type Testing Procedure for Crankcase Explosion Relief Valves had two minor amendments, both of which were date changes.
The Guidelines for energy efficiency of ships, which are comprised of multiple relevant IMO guidelines, were amended due to revision of MEPC.1/Circ.850/Rev.2.
Additional Rule Requirements for Air Pipe Closing Devices are based on the IACS Unified Requirements P3 and are an extension of the requirements contained in Part VI – Machinery Installations and Refrigerating Plants of the Rules for the Classification and Construction of Sea-going Ships. The present Publication replaces the 2017 version. The amendments include changes to paragraph 5.2 Tightness test, and 7.4.1 Alternative to the reverse flow test.
