China Classification Society (CCS) has issued Guidelines for the Structure of Non-High-Speed All-Aluminum Alloy Sea-Going Ships.
This document became effective on 1 March 2023.
These guidelines apply to the following seagoing vessels of 20 meters or more in length, operating in limited service, not operating at high speed and having a main hull of aluminum alloy:
- passenger ship;
- ferry;
- traffic ship;
- public affair ship.
The guidelines in the chapters detail - structural design principles, design loads, hull girder strength, hull local scantlings, direct calculation of catamarans, and buckling strength.
